COTABATO CITY – The City Government of Cotabato has officially turned over the subsidy allocations to 19 higher education institutions (HEIs) under the City Student Subsidy Program, a flagship initiative that will benefit more than 7,000 qualified students across the city. The program underscores the local government’s commitment to making higher education more accessible and easing the financial burden of students and their families.

The subsidy allocation for each institution varies based on the number of qualified student beneficiaries and the total validated academic units enrolled by students. Consequently, the amount of financial assistance that each beneficiary will receive is not uniform, as it is computed according to the number of academic units in which the student is officially enrolled. Among all participating institutions, Cotabato State University (CSU) received the largest allocation, having the highest number of qualified beneficiaries under the program.

The City Government announced that the official list of qualified beneficiaries, together with the corresponding subsidy amount for each student, will be released in the coming days. Checks will be distributed to the respective educational institutions upon completion of all required certifications and documentation. Through this initiative, the City Government of Cotabato continues to invest in education and empower the youth by providing meaningful financial support that will help them pursue their academic goals and contribute to the city’s future development.
