COTABATO CITY – The City Government of Cotabato, through the Office of the City Health Officer (OCHO), has reached another significant public health milestone after achieving 100% coverage in the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA) conducted from January 19 to February 17, 2026. This remarkable accomplishment makes Cotabato City the only city in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to attain full immunization coverage during the campaign, reflecting the local government’s unwavering commitment to protecting the health and well-being of every child.

The success of the MRSIA campaign was made possible through the collective efforts of the Office of the City Health Officer, healthcare professionals, barangay officials, partner agencies, volunteers, and the cooperation of parents and guardians who ensured that eligible children received life-saving vaccines. Notably, 21 out of the city’s 37 barangays also achieved 100% immunization coverage, demonstrating the effectiveness of the city’s community-based healthcare programs and its dedication to preventing vaccine-preventable diseases.
